Iconic photos of the famous Ponte Vechio

I forgot to add these!


This is the Ponte Vechio (in the foreground ) It was the only bridge not destroyed by the Germans in the Second World War. It is a pedestrian bridge and is entirely covered with jewelry stores! (And tons of tourists)! When the Medici family was in power they created their own corridor so that they could walk over the bridge and to their palace without having to mix with the commoners. That is what the rectangular windows are at the top of the bridge and the roofed walkway at the bottom right of the photo.
