Final race day and all I can say is “wow”! Our first race we placed second and our second race of the day we placed third. After competition was done, we watched an emotional race of one representative from each boat. All participants were asked to wear the pink shirts that we were given. There was literally a sea of pink! We were all given flowers. There was a moment of silence (apparently you can get 4000 women to be quiet at once!) and then some lovely music. We were then to think about sisters we have lost to this damn disease, or people who are still fighting. Then, everyone threw their flowers in the Arno. Mine was for my beautiful mom! Love ya! I don’t think there was a dry eye. I am not sure of the emotion...is it pride, sorrow, gratefulness? I’m here and have experienced the most powerful experience of my life! It was a beautiful day!

How lucky am I? I get to experience all this beauty!
